Parents and carers

As the parent or carer of a child at the new West Salisbury academy, you will play an important role in his or her education. You can expect:

  • a school where your child’s successes are celebrated - and her concerns (and yours) are heard
  • regular updates on your child’s progress (and to be invited to meet with the school at least three times a year)
  • a centre from which you can personally benefit, getting access to services that will include learning and training, health, voluntary organisations, community police, social care and housing support.


The academy will open in September 2010 in existing buildings, moving into exciting new and refurbished buildings in September 2013.
