An exciting new academy in West Salisbury?

The proposal

The Church of England Diocese of Salisbury proposes a new, inclusive academy to replace Salisbury High School.

Purpose-built for 21st-century learning, the new academy will:

  • drive up standards of achievement
  • raise the aspirations of our students
  • help to build a strong, inclusive community.


Community consultation

Following detailed applications to the Minister of State for Education, we have started the consultation process for a new academy to open in September 2010, with brand new buildings ready by September 2013.

Before the sponsors and the government make a final decision on whether the academy will go ahead, we are looking to you – the local community – for your views.
